OREM, Utah – September 26, 2017 – EMPOWER Slave to None, a platform of a local non-profit, focused on healing those affected by addiction and depression, releases first of 12 songs on their HOPE Album promoting recovery. The first song released, STORM, is about overcoming depression and suicidal thoughts associated with addiction. The song was produced and written by Brendon Nielson/BDN and Grant Brock/Kevät members of the EMPOWER team, with the purpose of promoting EMPOWER in a way that will be receptive to a millennial audience. The song is available on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, and all other music platforms.

“Music is one of the vehicles we are using to promote healing among those affected by depression and addiction,” said Brendon Nielson, EMPOWER Slave to None. “Our goal at EMPOWER is to reach millennials through HOPE inspired lyrics and music. We want young people everywhere to know that they are not alone in their suffering and that there is a way out.”

The first HOPE single is released on the heels of an amazing successful EMPOWER LIVEALIVE suicide awareness event at the Velour Live in Provo. The event brought together local bands and musicians as well as many attendees gathered to rally against suicide. Many in attendance have been personally affected by the heartbreaking realities of crippling depression.

EMPOWER was founded by Sandra Hadley, a dynamic entrepreneur with many years of experience growing organizations from startup to enterprise level. Hadley knew there was a need to connect young people who are struggling with depression and addiction giving them HOPE. The innovative concept of EMPOWER Slave to None is driven by contemporary trending music styles coupled with “empowering” lyrics.

“The EMPOWER team is passionate about HOPE,” said Sandra Hadley, Founder, EMPOWER Slave to None. “There is a bright future to be realized by so many young people affected by depression and addiction.
